District 1 deserves strong, steady leadership that puts our residents first. Having been raised in District 1, I know the strength, history, and pride that make this community special. My priorities focus on improving infrastructure, strengthening public safety, supporting seniors and families, encouraging small business growth, and creating opportunity for the next generation while protecting the legacy of the people who built this community.
Key Issues
Protecting Our Legacy, Building Our Future
Safe Neighborhoods & Strong Community
βPublic safety is a top priority for our city leadership, and it’s all about ensuring every resident feels secure at home and in our vibrant neighborhoods, parks, and bustling business districts like Cocoa Village! Safety thrives on robust city services, clean neighborhoods, and strong trust within our community. Together, we can create an environment where seniors, families, youth, and business owners feel safe and valued.
Let’s focus on:
-
Supporting dynamic, community-oriented public safety services
-
Brightening up our neighborhoods and business areas with improved lighting and safety
-
Tackling abandoned and unsafe properties head-on
-
Keeping our and public spaces clean and inviting
-
Building a safe, welcoming atmosphere for small businesses
Infrastructure & Neighborhood Improvements
ββWell-maintained streets, drainage, sidewalks, and utilities are essential for a safe and thriving community. District 1 and many parts of Cocoa deserve continued investment to ensure our neighborhoods, business areas, and public spaces are clean, safe, and well cared for.
Improving infrastructure not only protects property values, but also supports families, seniors, and business owners while helping our city grow in a responsible way. We must make sure every neighborhood receives the attention it deserves.
Priorities:
-
Street, drainage, and roadway improvements
-
Sidewalks, lighting, and neighborhood safety upgrades
-
Beautification and cleanup in neighborhoods and business areas
-
Long-term planning for city infrastructure and growth
Supporting Seniors, Families & Opportunity
βOur seniors helped build this community, and our families and young people are its future. Cocoa should be a place where longtime residents can continue to live with pride, where families feel supported, and where the next generation has the opportunity to succeed.
I believe city leadership should focus on creating safe neighborhoods, strong community programs, and opportunities for education, job training, and economic growth so that residents of all ages can thrive. Supporting our people means strengthening our entire community.
We must make sure District 1 and the entire city remain places where seniors feel respected, families feel secure, and young people can see a future for themselves right here at home.
Priorities:
-
Support programs and services for seniors
-
Encourage youth activities and positive opportunities
-
Promote workforce development and job training
-
Support families through safe neighborhoods and strong community resources
-
Create opportunities that help residents live, work, and succeed in Cocoa
Small Business, Economic Growth & Opportunity
βββLocal businesses are the backbone of our community. From neighborhood shops to Cocoa Village and our growing business districts, small businesses create jobs, provide services, and help keep our city strong. We must support responsible economic growth that brings opportunity while protecting the character of our neighborhoods.
I believe we can encourage new investment, support our local business owners, and create workforce opportunities for residents while making sure growth benefits the people who already live here. A strong local economy should help families, seniors, young adults, and business owners succeed together.
Priorities:
-
Support small and locally owned businesses
-
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment in Cocoa Village and business areas
-
Encourage responsible development that benefits residents
-
Expand access to grocery stores, healthcare, and essential services in our neighborhoods
-
Promote workforce development and job opportunities
-
Strengthen our local economy while protecting our neighborhoods
Protecting Our Legacy & Moving District 1 Forward
District 1 has a proud history built by generations of hardworking families who cared about this community and took pride in where they lived. As someone who was raised here, I understand how important it is to protect that legacy while also preparing for the future.
Growth and change are part of moving forward, but it must be done in a way that respects the people who already live here. Our neighborhoods, our history, and our community values should always be part of the decisions we make as a city.
I believe leadership should listen to residents, work together with the community, and make sure progress benefits everyone, not just a few. By protecting what makes District 1 special while creating new opportunities, we can build a stronger future for the next generation.
Priorities:
-
Respect the history and character of our neighborhoods
-
Encourage responsible redevelopment
-
Listen to residents and involve the community in decisions
-
Protect longtime residents while planning for the future
-
Keep District 1 moving forward with pride
With strong leadership, community involvement, and responsible planning, we can keep our neighborhoods safe, support our families and seniors, strengthen our businesses, and create new opportunities while protecting the legacy that makes District 1 special.
I am committed to doing the work to move our community forward together.
